From Sugar Cane comes the 1955Z Jean in Indigo. Sugar Cane's 1955 iconic 5-pocket silhouette is modeled on the classic 1955 Levi's 501XX cut, featuring a regular fit with a high rise, straight leg, and zip fly.
The denim is constructed using a custom 14oz indigo rope-dyed selvedge denim that is woven using vintage Toyoda shuttle looms, resulting in resulting in a fabric with an uneven and neppy hairy surface. The warp yarns use a double ring spun combination of both Zimbabwe and Texas cotton fibers to create a unique uneven hand. Once constructed, the pants were rinsed to reduce shrinkage.
Additional details include custom buttons and rivets, custom branded cowhide leather back patch, period-correct Gripper Zipper at the fly, and pink selvedge ID piping throughout.
