From Visvim's Fall/Winter 2015 Indigo Camping Trailer Collection, comes the Kerchief Down Jacket in Navy. The Kerchief is a western style puffer that bridges the gap between a shirt and jacket. It has a slim fit featuring a front snap button closure, two snap button chest pockets, adjustable sleeves, and a curved hem.
The jacket is constructed using a patchwork design of vintage US-made Colorfast cotton bandanas in different shades of navy for the shell. The lining is made from a cotton/linen fabric that features a printed motif depicting the battle of Little Bighorn. The print is colored using natural dyes including mud, cochineal, and indigo. It's also filled using Superior Polish White Goose Down. Once constructed, the jacket was soaked and dyed in iron-rich mud from local Amami-Ōshima rice paddies in Japan, resulting in an authentic character and worn-in charm synonymous with vintage garments.
Additional details include original Visvim branded brass snap buttons, western-style detailing along the chest and back yoke, and an indigo dyed Japanese Kofu fabric patch at the neck.
Tagged size 5 and fits a TTS XL. Condition is 8.5/10; minor signs of wear throughout.
Sold at the "Visvim ARCHIVES" event at Shinjuku Isetan in 2016 to commemorate the 15th anniversary of Visvim.
Extremely rare and produced in limited quantities. Only 99 made worldwide. Due to the fabric and post-processing used, each jacket is a 1 of 1 unique.
