From Visvim’s Fall/Winter 2015 Collection comes the Sanjuro Kimono Down Jacket in Olive. The jacket blends the Japanese kimono with the MA-1 flight jacket and features a kimono collar, MA-1 style sleeve pocket, half cut sleeves, and two slanted hand pockets.
The jacket is constructed using an Italian high-density nylon fabric from Limonta for the shell, a rayon/cotton blend lining, and Polish White Goose Down filling. Each nylon panel was soaked and dyed in iron-rich mud from local Amami-Ōshima rice paddies in Japan, resulting in a unique color variation throughout. This process was discontinued for later iterations (changed to garment dyeing the entire jacket) due to the labor intensity and cost.
Additional features include a patch pocket on the left sleeve with a Swiss RIRI zip slider and vegetable-tanned leather zipper pull, military-inspired patch detail on the chest, original brass snap buttons, polyester sleeve pocket lining, and hand stitched detailing throughout.
Tagged size 4 and fits a L/XL. Please refer to measurements for best fit. Condition is 8/10; minor signs of wear and slight staining throughout (see pictures). Price reflected.
