From Visvim's Fall/Winter 2016 WMV Collection comes the Lhamo Shirt W in Indigo. A street wear focused twist on the traditional Japanese kimono, the Lhamo shirt sports a regular fit, kimono collar, drop shoulders, curved hem, adjustable cuffs, and a front tie closure.
The shirt is constructed using an original indigo skein-dyed flannel fabric. Kade-zome, or skein-dyeing, is an old Japanese technique called where artisans wrap yarns into a loose coil called a kase, or skein, which is dipped into a container full of synthetically produced indigo dye. This method preserves the original texture of the yarn while still deeply coloring each yarn to its core. This hand-dyeing technique is extremely time and effort intensive, however it results in richly colored fabrics that replicate the unique unevenness and charm found in natural indigo dyed products.
Additional details include original bamboo buttons, and Visvim's signature WMV stitch detail along the hem.
