From Visvim's Fall/Winter 2017 Indigo Camping Trailer Collection comes the Fluxus 04 Cords in Dark Indigo. The 04 is a slim cut, with a tapered leg, low rise, and zip fly.
The pants are constructed using an original spun corduroy fabric made from cotton-poly blend fibers. Once constructed, the pants were natural Aizome, or Indigo dyed. Aizome uses natural indigo pigment extracted through a complex fermentation process called “ai-date,” which involves traditional fermentation known as "hakkō-date". Hakkō-date involves fermenting dried indigo leaves (sukumo) with lye, ash, alcohol, and lime, requiring careful adjustments by craftspeople to achieve desired colors. This labor-intensive process allows for artistic freedom and produces rich, transparent indigo hues, prized for their depth and clarity.
Additional details include original buttons, rivets, and zippers, a natural indigo-dyed, brain-tanned elk suede back patch with hand-stitched detailing, and an individually hand-embroidered "I.C.T." detail.
