From Visvim’s Fall/Winter 2017 Collection comes the Sanjuro Kimono Down Jacket in Olive. The jacket blends the Japanese kimono with the MA-1 flight jacket and features a kimono collar, half-length sleeves, MA-1 style sleeve pocket, and two slanted button-fastened hand pockets.
The jacket is constructed using an Italian high-density nylon fabric from Limonta for the shell, a rayon-cotton blend orange safety lining, and Polish White Goose Down filling. Once constructed, the jacket was soaked and dyed in iron-rich mud from local Amami-Ōshima rice paddies in Japan, resulting in a unique worn-in character.
Additional details include original damaged snap buttons, military-inspired patch detail on the chest, Swiss RIRI zipper with a vegetable-tanned leather zipper pull, wool blend collar ribbing, and hand-stitched sashiko detailing throughout.
