From Visvim's Fall/Winter 2021 Collection comes the Social Sculpture 16 Dry-17. The 16 silhouette has a regular fit with a straight leg, high rise, a button fly, selvedge outseam, and cinch-back.
The denim is constructed using an original 13oz selvedge denim woven on vintage shuttle looms using indigo rope-dyed yarns with varying slub lengths. This combination allows the denim to have an uneven surface texture with incredible fading capabilities.
Once constructed, the denim is put through Visvim's custom DRY process that consists of applying a special treatment to remove the oil found in the fibers of the denim. This results with a tightly woven fabric with a dry and deep texture. Each model is damaged and distressed by hand. The textures, colors, and finishing processes are unique to the "17" model.
Additional details include hand painted original buttons and rivets, custom blue selvedge ID piping throughout, and a natural indigo dyed, brain-tanned buckskin suede back patch with sashiko stitch detailing.
