From Visvim's Fall/Winter 2024 Collection comes the Mackenzie JKT IT in Brown. Taking inspiration from the famed Grizzly jacket, the Mackenzie is a raglan-sleeve leather blouson cut in a regular silhouette featuring a front button closure, slanted welt hand pockets, an internal welt chest pocket, and adjustable cinch cuffs.
The jacket is constructed in Italy using a vegetable-tanned horsehide coming from the Maryam Tannery; a time-honored manufacturer within the tanning district of Santa Croce sull'Arno in Tuscany, Italy. The jacket is paneled along the front, back, and neck using Uzbek Mouton fur. Once constructed, skilled Japanese craftsman's apply a unique damaged finished by hand one unit at a time for a weathered appearance leaving no two pieces alike.
Additional details included a nylon lining, custom water buffalo horn buttons, custom metal cinch buckle hardware, and an internal signature tag signed by Hiroki Nakamura as number 6 in production. The jacket was only released via pre-order at the FW24 Trunk Show. There are likely less than 10 in existence.
