From Resolute comes the Lot 714 Selvedge Denim in One Wash. The 714 receives its moniker from designer Yoshiyuki Hayashi’s obsession with vintage denim. Drawing inspiration from wartime-era jeans, the 714 incorporates period-correct details that reflect the material rationing and production constraints of the time. They are cut in a classic 5-pocket silhouette with a regular fit featuring a slim-straight leg, high rise, and button fly.
Leveraging decades of experience in the denim industry, Resolute’s 13.5oz selvedge denim fabric is custom woven to exacting standards in Okayama, Japan. The denim is woven on a single vintage shuttle loom that is exclusive for Resolute, and constructed on vintage Union Special sewing machines by Nimi Sewing Co., resulting in an “old indigo” denim with a texture reminiscent of 1940s American-made jeans. Once constructed, the denim is rinsed to remove shrinkage and express a soft, slubby texture.
Additional details include a brass donut top button, custom branded iron fly buttons, custom copper rivets, branded leather back patch, and a custom Bronze Selvedge ID.
