From Tezomeya comes the Loopwheel Tee in Nibi-iro. The tee is cut slim in the body, with an elongated length.
The tee is constructed using organic cotton yarns that are knit in Japan, at the Kanekichi Knitting Company in Wakayama. They are one of the few remaining Japanese knitting companies that use “tsuriami-ki” or loop-wheel knitting machines. Loopwheel machines create fabric without tension resulting in a slubby texture that maintains a fluffy, soft finish with use. Once constructed, the tee was natural dyed using green alder cones and wood vinegar iron mordant which combine to create a neutral grey color.
