From Visvim's Spring/Summer 2020 Indigo Camping Trailer Collection, “Find Your Happiness”, comes the Kodiak Down Jacket (N.D.) in Green. The Kodiak is a heavy-duty puffer designed to be Visvim’s most insulated and rugged outerwear. It has a slim fit featuring a dual format button/front zip closure, four snap button pockets, and interior zip pocket, adjustable sleeves, removable hood, and a flat hem.
The jacket is constructed using a patchwork design of Visvim’s proprietary custom khadi fabric bandanas. The lining is made from a rayon fabric that features a printed motif depicting the battle of Little Bighorn. The print is colored using natural dyes including mud, cochineal, and indigo. It's also filled using Superior Polish White Goose Down. Once the bandanas are produced, the fabric is dyed using a Japanese dye technique consisting of boiling natural plant matter and combining it with iron to create an incredible green hue. It is said that vegetable dye never yields the exact same color twice.
Additional details include original damage processed metal snap buttons, Swiss RIRI zippers throughout, adjustment drawstrings for the hood, torso and hem, and an indigo dyed Japanese Kofu fabric patch at the neck.
Tagged size 3 and fits a TTS L/XL. Condition is 7.5/10; no staining, but bandana on sleeve was torn and repaired with a green thread to color match.
Extremely rare and produced in limited quantities. Only 30 made worldwide. Due to the fabric and processing used, each jacket is a 1 of 1 unique pattern. This is likely 1 of 2 size 3s in the Green colorway in the world.
