From Visvim’s Spring/Summer 2023 Collection comes the Social Sculpture 01 Raw Mud OD. The 01 cut has a a regular fit with a straight leg, high rise, button fly, and selvedge outseam.
The denim is constructed using Visvim's custom raw 15 oz Red Selvedge Denim. This fabric is made with the deepest colored yarn possible, utilizing the rope dyeing method, and has a deeper blue color compared to the UNWASHED series that can be retained for a longer period of time. Also, the denim is woven at a lower setting compared to Visvim’s “Brown Selvedge”, so the uneven texture of the fabric becomes more evident as the denim gets worn. Once constructed, the denim was soaked and dyed in iron-rich mud from local Amami-Ōshima rice paddies in Japan, resulting in a unique worn-in charm throughout.
Additional details include original buttons, rivets, and sliders, a brain-tanned natural indigo-dyed buckskin back patch, and a hidden interior zip back pocket.
