From Visvim’s Spring/Summer 2023 Collection comes the Social Sculpture 01 Slim Raw Mud OD in Indigo. The 01 slim cut has a a regular fit with a slightly tapered leg, medium rise, button fly, and selvedge outseam.
The denim are constructed using Visvim's custom raw 13oz Red Selvedge Denim. This fabric is made with the deepest colored yarn possible, utilizing the rope dyeing method, and has a deeper blue color that can be retained for a longer period of time. The denim is woven at a lower setting allowing for an uneven texture of the fabric that becomes more evident with wear. Once constructed, the denim were soaked and dyed in iron-rich mud from local Amami-Ōshima rice paddies in Japan, resulting in a unique worn-in charm throughout.
Additional details include original copper buttons, rivets, and sliders, a brain-tanned natural indigo-dyed buckskin back patch, and a hidden interior zip back pocket.
